honkai impact 3rd is a 3d gacha game created by mihoyo/hoyoverse. first released in 2016, it is the 3rd installment of the honkai series. in chronological order, the games are houkai gauken (zombie gal kawaii), houkai gauken 2 (gun girl z), honkai impact 3rd, and honkai star rail.
